Is Accceptance Testing Part of Verification or VAlidation,As per V-V or W model it is a part of validation ??

This is classic example of work experience conflicting the CBOK terminology :) CBOK is final and correct. Acceptance testing is Verification. See this link

Under : Tactics for manturing the quality control management processes, acceptance testing is shown under verification. Can you please explain why could that be?
