Hi,

I have come across a lot of people and questions throughout my career in Quality and Process Management where clarity about topics and concepts are sought after. This post is to address just that. Let me know if you want to know ANYTHING related to QA as a profession, career or as a domain.

This can be anything from the concepts to publications that I can share with all of you. Please feel free to ask any doubts, questions or initiate a discussion on any of the quality topics that you may want.

Shajahan, Sorry, I forgot to

Shajahan,

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. In you are new to the Quality domain and are taking the CSQA, the preparation for the certification itself will make sure that a lot of the fundamentals of the domain are clarified. Its a fun process to prepare and take the CSQA since you need to un-learn so many things and then re-learn them again in a correct manner! Professionally, certifications like CSTE and CSQA can provide more gloss to your CV and people will have a certain defined level of expectations from you. Intellectually, I feel that CSQA is an ideal certification to start with if you want to go for some other certifications like ISO LA certifications, CISA, etc in the processes domain. In fact a lot of my friends who have done CSQA said that even PMP looks easy after a CSQA :)

Hope I answered your question :)

Hi Shajahan, (or should I

Hi Shajahan, (or should I call you Zille Ilahi :) )

Please let me know what is your experience level and what are you presently working as. Also, I always ask quality aspirants one question - "Why do you want to join quality?"

Quality domain in itself is a very hard fought domain. There are not many oppurtunities to go onsite unless you are a consultant and there is limited growth in an organization. Hence, I would like to know the reason why you want to make a career in quality.

Once we know the background and your aspirations, it will be easier for us to decide a roadmap for you. Also, please keep one thing in mind. Certifications neither represent your knowledge of a domain nor do they assure a job/career. They are there to convey to other people the fact that they can expect a certain level of proficiency from you.

So let me know the above details and then lets see if I can help you in making an informed decision :)
