You will need to read up the CSTE CBOK. I have taken the exam in Dec 08 and was surprised that all 4 papers are SUBJECTIVE. The questions are more about application of the principles in CSTE CBOK. All the best.

As such there would not be any disadvantage if u do a certification...Infact u would have one more certification added to ur box which may help u in ur professional career...
As i said earlier CSQA talks of processes...So if u wish to make ur way in Process(QA) CSQA is a good option...Moreover u would also find CSQA a bit easy since u r already a CSTE...Two domains are common in CSTE & CSQA...
