How good a certification -- CSBA ( Certified Software Business Analyst) ?

I m in developement since last 2 and a half years.Since, i been working in complete SDLC. The requirement gathering,analysis and designing phases have developed a great interest of me towards the business/domain as a result it has created interest in me to pursue a career as Business Analyst/Functional Expert/Consultant kind of roles. So, i m considering of doing CSBA certification.
How good a certification is CSBA?? Will it help in getting a BUSINESS ANALYST job in market ?? I would appreciate your opinions on the same.

I have researched on both the IIBA and the CSBA certifications and I feel the CSBA is really focused and provides the skills required for software business analysis or anyone in the IT business analyst role or probably aspiring to get into it..
I am trying to find sample questions for CSBA so if anyone can help? the website does not have much information the the brochure available on the website provide a good amount of detail.

Submitted by jayaint.kumar on September 27, 2010 - 6:06am.the CBOK content is very good (atleast skill sets 1 & 2 as I have gone through that), and it will definitely help in improving the knowledge a BA requires.
But from the exam perspective there is not much information about the no of questions, exam format etc.. which is adding much more difficulty for the test takers.

Many institutes conduct CBAP for IIBA , but could not find a comprehenssive portal for CSBA.

Most of my frens who have taken this certification, found no-use or no-value-addition to their prospects in the market(till now)... Hence, request you all to think twice before goin ahead with taking this xam...

However going by history both CSTE and CSQA are good certifications and have lot of value in the market. Since you are already into the BA profession, I would believe that this would be a great feather in your cap.

the 350$ fee will include the cBoK which is the study material for the course.
preparation time for taking the examination, varies with every individual. once you register,the application is valid for 1 yr so you can take the test anytime you want within that year.
