What is the correct time to appear for ISTQB certification

HI,
I have 11 months of experience in testing. I wanted to know after how much experience should 1 appear for ISTQB certification as some of my colleagues with same experience have appeared for the exam but could not clear it.

Exam is bit tough, also you

Exam is bit tough, also you need some 75% or so to get through, so its easier if you have some experience.
in general when have worked in a testing environment you will be familiar with the scenarios examples mentioned in the syllabus.
still, at the end of the day its just another exam. if you study the material well, its not hard to get through
