your manager wants to go for mbnqa. He is aware of the categories. As an IT head he wants you to determine the categories that can be calculated by you to determine whether the company can get the award. (for which categories you can calculate the points as an IT head.)

Usually you have to say that it will be either in Services or Small business category... Then you have to explain....using the 7 scoring criteria, why he is applying in Services category. For eg 1.
Leadership : Our company has sponsored to opensource software communities, final year graduate projects, and supported communities.
