On High level it is the parameters that will give you Performance or Status of the project or organization's progress.
For eg: Status indicators would be Red, Yellow or Green. Red indicating that its delayed. Yellow indicating possible delay and Green indicating its on schedule and so on.
Performance indicators would have similar attributes to give the performance

Submitted by admin on January 19, 2008 - 5:26am.The Perofrmance Indicators are often called KPI's or "Key Performnance Indicators" These are typically the parameters that indicate how a project is performing towards its quality goals (that are mentioned in a Project Plan under goals OR Metrics section )P.S. that not all the metrics are considered as KPI's...most of the KPI's are Effort, Schedule & Cost related metrices...that are being tracked periodically as "Project Monitoring and Control Activity " ...I hope this answer helped you.
